What kind of books do you write?
I write faith filled coastal mysteries with heart, family secrets, old houses, hidden property secrets, legal twists, and a little romance. My stories are clean, hopeful, and set against the kind of coastal backdrop I love.
Where do your story ideas come from?
Many of my ideas come from the worlds I know best: coastal North Carolina, real estate, old homes, property records, family history, and my years working in the legal industry. I love the idea that every house, every family, and every small town may hold a story just waiting to be uncovered.
Are your books Christian fiction?
Yes, my books are faith filled and written from a Christian worldview. The faith elements are woven gently and naturally into the story through themes of grace, forgiveness, hope, obedience, and God’s faithfulness.
Are your books clean reads?
Yes. My books are written as clean, wholesome mysteries. They may include suspense, danger, secrets, and emotional moments, but they do not include graphic content or explicit romance.
Do your books need to be read in order?
For the series books, I recommend starting with Book 1 so you can follow the characters and relationships as they grow.
For Coastal Grace Mysteries, start with Low Tide Secrets.
For Front Porch Coastal Mysteries, start with The Last Showing.
The Coastal Keepsakes Romance Mystery novellas can be read as standalones.
Are your books set in real towns?
The main towns in my stories are fictional, but they are inspired by southeastern North Carolina and the coastal communities I know and love. I do occasionally reference real North Carolina places such as Wilmington, Southport, Lumberton, and others when they naturally fit the story. This lets the books feel rooted in a real coastal region while still giving the stories room to grow.
How much of your real estate and legal background shows up in your books?
Quite a bit, but in small ways. My stories often include old houses, property records, contracts, estates, family documents, and hidden property secrets. Those details come naturally from my years as a real estate agent, my paralegal experience, and more than 30 years working in the legal industry.
Why did you start writing?
Writing and publishing a book was a dream I carried for many years. Around 2015, I began working on them more seriously, but it took time, faith, and a lot of encouragement to finally step forward. I believe God prompted me to pick the dream back up, and I’m grateful He allowed me to see it become real.
What do you hope readers take away from your books?
I hope readers enjoy the mystery, the coastal setting, and the characters, but more than anything, I hope they are reminded that God is faithful, that He loves each of us deeply, and that hope can still be found even when the past is complicated.
